Asymmetrical Swag for Two Story

This elegant style was designed to complement quarter (fan) arch windows stacked over rectangular windows (doors). Typically the left and right sides mirror each other. The design can be made for varying proportions and rectangular windows. Doors can be opened providing there is at least 11 inches of space beyond the door including trim. We have made this treatment without the panel underneath and cut the jabot to clear the door, but the design looks best long so that the viewers eye begins between the windows and sweeps around the full configuration downward. In the shortened version, we do not bishop sleeve (gather) the long jabot as drawn. It falls freely from the upper point. To keep the proportion balanced, we slightly shorten the upper jabot as well.

This design is one of the most difficult to fabricate, but we have had extraordinary success with it! All swags and jabots are formed in the shop and permanently mounted to boards or poles to exacting proportions. The scale and shape of the piece is carefully preserved from drawing through mounting and then transferring to the actual wall. Upon installation, fine adjustments can be made .
