In the 20 years I've been in business, I have never once heard the dreaded phrase, "that isn't what I imagined." When you hear horror stories of building and decorating, it usually ends there with a big price tag for punctuation.
Here is what I do to ensure your satisfaction with any of our custom work:
Start with a simple written exercise which draws comments from you very efficiently. (I charge per hour to meet with you, so we might as well get something accomplished! It sure beats having a chat only to establish that we like each other)
We look at overall style and color while considering fabrics. Some people like more choices than others, so I gear the fabric selection accordingly.
Next, using a measuring tape, I point to areas of the wall and window discussing what we might want to cover or leave open considering ceiling height, proportions, trim, and overall style.
I sketch as many ideas as needed while I am with you very rapidly so that you can form opinions and fine tune the direction we are taking. This interactive approach saves much time and energy. I have 7 years training as an illustrator, so it easy for me to use drawing as a communication tool.
Often, different fabrics look better in different styles. We go over the pluses of each one and make a decision.
To make very sure that you receive what we had in mind and what I have sketched, I make the patterns and instructions for sewing myself. Sometimes, I help sew, but more typically, I plan and then may mount fabric to poles and wood particularly in unusual configurations requiring expert draping skills.
Finally, our certified installer transfers with precision (you will like the guy. he has clean feet and more ideas and tools than are ever necessary) all of the plans we have made to the wall itself. On simple jobs, you can choose whether you want me to attend the installation or not.
For 20 years, we have been pleasing discerning clientele in Nashville Now, through the internet, we can also work with people out of town. Installation services are available throughout Tenneesee. Many treatments can be shipped, too.
