Draperies with trim along the leading edge, holdbacks
This method of dressing draperies is one of the most popular today. Very full panels are trimmed along the leading edge where the bobbles will stack up to make a lavish presentation. Then, the draperies are simply draped over medallion holdbacks. Another popular trend is to use large scale pattern in this way, because the pattern is obscured by the many folds making a cautiously bold statement.
The overall look is understated luxury. Often, this style is used with a decorative drapery pole and rings. Showing the functioning hardware is also a popular look. We can also create soft valance and upholstered cornices for the top.
